Not five nice words. A ranking you can decide with.

You sort a set of value words, then choose between your top ten two at a time. The order comes from your own choices, so when two things you care about pull in different directions, you can see which one you put first.

About 12 minutes. No account or email to start, and your answers stay in this browser until you choose to save them.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Sort the cards

    About 4 minutes

You put 83 value words into three piles: very important, important and not important. You keep at most ten as very important, and you can add words of your own.

  2. Step 2: Choose between two at a time

    About 5 minutes

You see two of your ten and answer one question: when they pull in different directions, which wins? Each answer moves the order, and you can say a pair is hard to call.

  3. Step 3: See your order

    About 3 minutes

You answer three short questions about each of your top five, then see all ten in bands, with how many of its comparisons each value won and one pair from your own answers that may pull against each other.

About 12 minutes in all. After your result you can go deeper with an optional portrait: 57 short statements, about 7 minutes, that place your top ten on a circle of 19 values.

A choice that went the other way

You chose Health over Honesty, yet your other choices put Honesty higher. These two may pull against each other.

What this is not

It is not therapy and not a personality test. It does not compare you with other people or tell you what type you are. It puts the values you chose in the order your own choices give them: reflection and decision support.
